Dr. Scott Trefts completed his doctorate in optometry at the University of Missouri Saint Louis. He then completed a two year clinical and research fellowship in binocular vision and pediatric optometry at the University of Missouri Saint Louis. He previously worked in Norfolk, Virginia with Dr. Joel Zaba who is well renowned for his work in pediatric optometry and binocular vision. Dr. Trefts diagnoses and treats all optometric conditions, but has a special interest in both pediatric and geriatric optometry.
Dr. Trefts lives on Saint Simons Island, Georgia with his wife, Lori Trefts M.D., who is a neurologist at Southeast Georgia Health System. They have two children. Dr. Trefts enjoys spending time with his family, playing soccer, and reading sci-fi.
